Ginger / Shunti Tambuli.

We had been to Subramanya Temple recently.
During Lunch we were served Ginger/Shunti tambuli, which tasted DIVINE.
I was eager to try this out and when we reached back home I tried and it tasted awesome.
But the divinity transpired from the offerings made to GOD.

Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
Urdhal/ Uddina Bele – 1 Tsp
Ginger/Shunti – about 2 Inch (Cleaned and Chopped)
Peppercorns – 10 nos
Cumin Seeds – ½ Teaspoon
Coconut: 1 Small Cup
Green Chilly – 2 nos
Curds – 1 Cup
Ghee – ¼ Tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Roast Urdhal, Chillies, Peppercorns, Cumin Seeds in Ghee.
Grind the roasted ingredients + coconut with chilly and chopped ginger to a fine paste. And Mix in curds. Add Salt to taste. Now Tambuli is ready to serve.

I was working on this top/salwar for a long time and was worried about the outcome.

The top had to be matched with the Pant/Chudidhar, but it was readily available with me without the Top.
So I pulled the tying string to incorporate in the design i visualized.
Stitches used: Herringbone, Stem, Chain and Satin stitch

Kuddos, Tailor did a good job.
If you need the design, please let me know

Hi,

We had been to Brahmanipura, near Channapatna on 1st Dec 2012 for “ಧಾತ್ರಿ ಹವನ” “Dhatri Havana”
Please read this link for more details on Dhatri Havana : http://www.sumadhwaseva.com/2009/10/dhatri-havana/

I am posting the Picture of "Praanadevaru" (Hanumantha) which is there from many many years and one from Sri Vyasa Rajaru's institution.
It is believed that Sri Vyasarajaru has 760 Praanadevaru ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪನೆ's all over India. Some are yet to be unearthed.
What appealed me even more is this ಉದ್ಭವ ಮೂರ್ತಿ (idol) has Rama Devaru alongwith Seethamathe and Lakshmana Devaru above the face. Sorry, the pic I have taken is not clear. We can only see part of their lower body. Next time, I will surely post a better picture.
